back to Teams This Week
Captains are responsible for pace of play (POP). We are expected to complete 9 holes in under 2 hours. That is easy math - an average of 13 minutes per hole. On occasion, the course is running slow and you just can't go any faster. If your team is keeping proper POP and the team behind you is hitting into you (and they are not one of us), you can inform them directly of the hold up in front of you, or you may speak to a course marshal. In the event you cannot do either, please call the Pro Shop at the telephone number on your score card and request that a marshal intervene as necessary. Check out the new USGA golf rules in place for 2019.

We play a very casual game, but questions sometimes come up on rules. Info can be found at: PebbleCreek Golf Course Rules and USGA Golf Rules and Decisions. Excerpts include:
1. Your tee time may be lost if players do not check in at least 30 minutes prior to tee time.

4. During play, only the golf ball hit into the lake may be retrieved. All other balls are the property of the Association, and, I am really glad they clarified this one ... no fishing, wading or swimming is allowed in any of the lakes on the golf courses.

5. The golf courses and the golf course cart paths are restricted for golf play only. Only authorized golf course personnel and persons who have checked in at the Pro Shops, or have been approved to play golf, are allowed on the golf course cart paths. Roadways are to be used when traveling to and from Clubhouse areas.
